I read a lot of discussion groups on physics and stuff like that and it seems people are always trying to discredit Einstein, its like an obsession. What is up with that?

Fri, April 14, 2006 - 1:26 PMego gratification challenges made easier by the fact that he's no longer around to voice his position !! easier than coming up with your own theorem and solutions !! there are so many really serious problems that need to be solved here on earth...difficult and so very readily avoided...many equate intellectual prowess with self worth...mainly because they have small dicks and can' t fight !!! but the mind is only a tool.. and the values of the owner may show a fool...so it's really just childish exercises..taking potshots at the king !!!

Re: Silly question!
Sat, April 15, 2006 - 7:45 PMBecause science is about asking questions of what we think we know and finding out we don't know as much as we thought we did?

Sat, April 22, 2006 - 7:28 PMHappens pretty often, Iv'e noticed that too.
When someone is the best, alot of people want to trump them. -

Re: Silly question!
Sun, April 23, 2006 - 5:06 PMThey probably try to discredit him because he didn't really care what "they" thought and didn't care if they agreed or even if they understood. He was just.. well.. he was E.

Well Albert often tried to discredit himself... always second guess what you believe to be true or you will never find anything new....

Re: Silly question!
Mon, May 1, 2006 - 8:53 AMit because thats the way science works. ego has no part (well, no major part anyways). science is all about taking what you think you know, and trying either to prove or disprove it, and even if uv done 100, even 1000 experiments that prove a theory, there is always one going on to try and disprove that very theory. its because if u assume its correct and never question it, then a situation come up which disproves it but u assume its tru, the even seams unexplainable, and we simply cannot have that. for example, had we assumed Newtonian mechanics were always correct, and applied to EVERYTHING, we would have looked at subatomic particles and went "what the f**k? why is it moving there, i pushed it here? whats going on? the fabric of the universe is unraviling!" and indeed, thats pretty much what happened. but then ppl went back and re-examined both the theories of mechanics and the data we had, and found a few tiny inconsistancies, which were magnified by 100 orders of magnitude when applied to subatomic particles. well, a few decimal places, a few extra equations added on to newton's, and wqe have working mathmatics for the subatomic world. so thats what scientists are always tring to do, going back and testing the theories we have to see if they truly are correct. lol, we (and everyone else for that matter) always assume we're wrong, no matter how many times we're proven right. and THAT does hurt the ego! -

Mon, July 24, 2006 - 11:13 AMMaby they have wached too many Science Fiction movies or Television shows and want to travel faster than the speed of Light. I STILL see no evidence that anything larger than a sub Atomic particle can travel that fast!!
